30 Limousin X heifers have been served to develop a suckler herd in conjunction with the Pedigree Herd of Limousins producing ¾ cross calves - 14 heifers and 13 bulls
Feeding systems will vary from Ad Lib concentrates for the Bulls to Maize Silage or Grass Silage and concentrates for the other systems.
Growth rates will be targeted at 1.5 kg for 12 month Bull Beef down to 0.7 kg for Limousins on a 24-month system.
