This BCVA NDFAS Herd Health Plan (The BCVA Concise HHP) fulfils the requirements of the scheme standards and should be periodically reviewed. The plan is an extract from the more comprehensive BCVA Herd Health Plan for Farm Assurance, (The BCVA Complete HHP) and forms a minimum basic plan for the purposes of the National Dairy Farm Assurance Scheme Standards. The BCVA Complete Herd Health Plan is a more comprehensive and integral plan for the formulation of a total healthcare and welfare monitoring system on the dairy farm

The BCVA Concise Herd Health Plan should be prepared and completed by the attending veterinary surgeon at the outset and the review dates entered onto the opening sheet. A completed copy of the Herd Health Plan should be left on the farm for the reference of the farmer and any others who need to refer.
