The Dairy and Beef Herds
The farm follows strict protocols when treating for illness and disease and takes every measure available to prevent the animals from developing any illness or disease by good feeding and hygiene measures.
Vaccinations are used on the dairy herd to prevent the following:
Regulations mean the College farm annually tests for TB and culls any reactors; retests are carried out until 2 consecutive tests are clear of any reactors.
