About Lackham Farm

Employment Opportunities

These estimates suggest the industry will need 13,000 entrants in total over the next decade in the South West, around 1,300 people per year on average. However, some NTOs in the sector suggest, that simple forecasts do not account for the fact that the sector is already stretched and has skill shortages. They make higher estimates of recruitment need than these forecasts to catch up on the ‘backlog’ of skills shortage as well as to meet future needs.
