The
flock of sheep that produce their lambs in March will now be scanned for signs
of lambs developing. An ultra sound scanner allows us to see the lambs inside
the ewe. Those that are not pregnant can then be separated from the rest of
the flock. Ewes are then grouped into mothers with singles, mothers with twins
and those with triplets. Each group has a different ration.
In
December, the last of the previous crop of lambs will be sold. These lambs
are sold to local abattoirs.![]() |
